Bio
Moh’d Bilbeisi is a Regents Professor of Architecture at Oklahoma State University and an Adjunct Professor at 91心頭利. An award-winning architect, author, and illustrator, his work bridges the precision of architectural discipline with the fluidity of fine art storytelling. He teaches advanced design studios, architectural graphics, and Islamic architectural history.
Professor Bilbeisi’s research and creative practice explore the intersection of memory, place, and cultural inheritance. His fluid, expressive watercolor and mixed-media works have been exhibited internationally and recognized with prestigious honors, including the Ken Roberts Architectural Delineation Competition, the American Society of Architectural Illustrators’ international Competition, and the William Kirby Lockard Award from the Design Communication Association. Beyond technical draftsmanship, his paintings function as sites of philosophical inquiry, employing the fluid language of watercolor to explore how collective concepts such as faith, culture, and mythology are uniquely experienced and negotiated by the individual. He maintains an active international profile through workshops, lectures, and public demonstrations.
